Panel Talk on Unblocking Creativity with The Side Woo Live
Where do ideas come from? Why do we as artists get creatively blocked? What can we do about it? As artists, the further we push beyond our comfort zone, the more likely we are to hit a creative block and stir up challenging emotions.
Sarah Thibault, host of the podcast The Side Woo, is joining forces with the ICA SF to bring an afternoon of conversations with three local artists to find out why we get blocked and discuss ways to break through.
This event is produced with the generous support of The Space Program.
Sarah Thibault will interview three guests for 20 minutes each, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion and audience Q&A. The event will be recorded and available on the podcast platform after the show.

The Side Woo podcast was created by artist Sarah Thibault and Elizabeth Bernstein to open a frank dialogue about the overlaps of mental health, spirituality, and creativity as a way to understand how one builds a sustainable creative life, and to shine a light on the ways artists overcome trauma and adversity.
The times we live in are overwhelming. The Side Woo seeks to foster connection and understanding where there is a natural inclination to self-alienate and divide out of fear about the future. By perpetuating care through conversations and disarming the isms in ourselves and our communities, we can create a blueprint for dismantling the structures that no longer serve us.
