Neighborhood Cleanup + Exhibition Tour with Vreni Michelini Castillo
Following a free neighborhood-wide cleanup at 12pm, artist and educator Vreni Michelini Castillo will offer a special tour of Patrick Martinez: Ghost Land drawing on Mexican cultural traditions of cleansing and care. Learn more about Indigenous knowledge, symbolism, and creative resistance in Patrick Martinez’s work.
Volunteers for the neighborhood cleanup are invited to meet at 12pm at Progress Park, 1300 Indiana St. At around 1:30pm, the group is invited to gather at ICA SF for the tour.

Vreni Michelini Castillo is a multidisciplinary cultural producer, curator and educator from Mexico. She is the editor of Color Theory (2019), creator of Fluid Mutualism (2021) & co-founder of Aguas Migrantes, an artist collective that runs programming in Mexico. Her teaching incorporates critical race theory, ecofeminism, hip hop, decoloniality and traditional Mexican medicine into various art practices.
